For the first time Italy will be hosting the EVU Annual Congress in the marvelous city of Florence. Evu Italia is in charge of organizing this event which is so important for European reconstructors and not only for them.

The organizers, together with EVU’s Board, decided that the main topics of the 22nd Annual Congress will be the following: accidents of two wheel vehicles (reconstruction and safety), human factors in road accidents (also in relationship with active safety systems) and the use of data from EDRs (Event Data Recorder) in reconstruction. At the end, we will hold the usual Open Forum which will allow those who performed interesting research in different sectors to offer their contribution to our event.

The attached program shows how both the level of study and research on road accident is increasing and the field of analysis is widening, without compromising on accuracy and scientific analysis.

In order to allow all participants to enjoy the quality of the Conference we have organized simultaneous interpreting into three languages (English, Italian and German).

As chairman of the organizing committee, I am pleased to invite you to take part in the 22nd EVU Congress in Florence from 17th to 19th October 2013. While making sure we carefully selected the topics and the congress location, we also made any effort to ensure that after working hard you will enjoy the beauty, culture and cuisine of our wonderful region.
