Abstract
An efficient and highly accurate workflow should be a major goal for every successful job. If the job is measuring distances, areas or volumes for an accident reconstruction, 3D photogrammetry can fulfill our wishes perfectly. We can conserve every visible mark of a whole crime scene or accident location within minutes. To the delight of our clients, a whole scenery can easily be visualized and used for simulations.
There are several programs, which make basic photogrammetry fast and easy. But if we need the results to be highly accurate, things can get a little bit more complicated and considerable mistakes are possible. This lecture will give a lot of examples of what can be done with 3D photogrammetry – in a positive, but also in a negative way. Partially even completely new approaches for solving common questions will be the result.
